FEMCOM singed an agreement with ACTESA on the implementation of COMESA Informal Cross Border Monitoring System (CICBMS) on March 15, 2013. CICBMS is sought to enhance the intra-COMESA trade through the enhanced information dissemination, particularly on the food security and women entrepreneurs at cross border points.

This was during the CEHA Uganda Chapter launch (COMESA-EAC Horticultural Accelerator) that took place at Golden Tulip Hotel in Kampala, the event confirmed HortiFresh as the secretariat of CEHA in Uganda, and in Uganda the focus was put on Ovocado, Onions and Irish potato Value chain.
The COMESA-EAC Horticulture Accelerator has launched a Chapter for Uganda whose focus will be centered on enhancing the Avocado and Onion value chains. The CEHA Uganda secretariat is currently hosted by HortiFresh Association Uganda.
